Site Rules
Welcome to The Fashion Awards 2019.
The event will be taking place this year at the Royal Albert Hall.

General Venue Safety
-
Safety is the responsibility of everyone onsite, so please alert the Event Safety Advisers or Inca / Done+Dusted Production Managers if you are concerned about safety.
-
Orange beacons will flash by the entrance doors to the arena if people are working at height / on the grid. If you see an orange beacon flashing, you must either wear a hard hard or wait until the work is completed.
-
Be aware of moving vehicles around the exterior of the building and loading bay.
-
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas - this includes ecigarettes.
-
Watch out for trip hazards, running cables, hanging cables and general equipment around the venue and backstage areas.
-
Please report any spillages or slip hazards to a member of the production staff or the venue.
-
Please do not obstruct any fire exit doors or fire exit routes.
-
Crew catering is onsite and will be in the RAH staff canteen. Water will be available here throughout the event. See your HOD or Production Manager for meal tickets.
First Aid Procedures
-
There will be a medic on site at all times during rehearsals and the event. You will find the medic in the first aid room, located next to stage door. You can also contact the medic via stage door or via any member of Royal Albert Hall staff.
ALL ACCIDENTS, INJURIES AND NEAR-MISSES MUST BE REPORTED TO THE ONSITE ESA IMMEDIATELY / FOLLOWING TREATMENT.
Emergency Procedures
-
In the event of an emergency requiring an evacuation, you will hear the fire alarm activate and instruct you to leave the venue.
-
On hearing the fire alarm, you must leave the venue immediately, using the nearest available fire exit.
-
Do not stop for personal items. Only if it it safe to do so, turn off any electrical equipment you are using.
-
When you have left the venue, please proceed to the fire assembly point, which is located at the main entrance stairs on Prince Consort Road.

-
When you have arrived at the assembly point, ensure you make yourself known to the Inca /D+D Production Manager to let them known you are safe.
-
In an emergency, do not call 999 but contact stage door by dialling number 88 on an internal phone
YOUR PRIORITY SHOULD BE TO RAISE THE ALARM AND EVACUATE. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS ARE PRESENT BUT WE ADVISE THESE ARE ONLY USED IF YOU HAVE BEEN TRAINED, IF THE FIRE IS SMALL ENOUGH, IF FIGHTING THE FIRE DOES NOT OBSTRUCT OR EFFECT YOUR SAFE EXIT; AND ONLY AFTER YOU HAVE RAISED THE ALARM
